So it's a 1366 socket.

Also, what tools do i need to put htis on? and is it something a guy like me can do by myself?
Yes, it does come with Thermal Compund. Some come with it pre applied to the bottom, but I believe this particular cooler comes with the TC is a tube, just follow This video for install instructions

Edit: All you need is a screwdriver I believe,

here is a full install guide:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrnWVHdhGJ0

I think the guide is longer then the total install process, sorry about that

Do you have access to a (philips) screw driver?

If you figured out push-pins, you're at least as bright as the average five year old and shouldn't have any trouble. Just read the instructions.

Definitely not the whole tube. A BB size drop directly in the center will work just fine. There are other methods like the line method that some people use, but there's not much of a difference between them.

Yes it does come with tim, however I would recommend buying some of the TIM that has been recommended. It will perform better and a tube will last you longer.

Don't ask how to apply it, cos you will start a debate that has been going on for years. Either spread it out with a credit card or similer or put a large pea sized blob in the middle and push on the cooler.

Can someone confirm the socket type. I think it's 1366, but 755 has been mentioned.
