My Phenom 2 x6 1075T at 4.8Ghz put out roughly 240-250w of heat with 1.5 vCore with the Evap holding at around -20c during Intel Burn Test.

If you want to run 5Ghz 24/7 then a 300w should do it as they love the cold.

The most I ever got from my Phenom 2 x6 on water was 4.1Ghz at 1.55 vCore which was 50 runs Intel Burn Test stable, moving over to phase using slightly less vCore of 1.5v I got it to a stable 4.8Ghz, an extra 700Mhz gained from the temperature drop alone.

They would more then likely just tell him to get a new unit, that OCZ unit would need a lot of work to hit 300w
