No I mean coming from my Phenom. Nothing seems any faster than it did while running on the Phenom, except for literally one game.

Not you are anyone else is going to change their mind. It's like getting a Broncos fan to root for the Raiders...NOT gonna happen There are plenty of Intel fanboys in the Intel section that don't come over here and start flame wars because they have nothing better to do. I just don't understand why some of the Intel fanboys feel the need to come over here and start flame wars.

Not sure where I've ever said that before. Once again I'll buy whatever is worth buying.

Personally I don't think you "wasted" your money. You have a great new CPU and you'll be set for quite a while before you need to upgrade again. However, what you're experiencing is a prime example of what happens when people listen to "spIntel fanboys". Your expectations were built up that you would see massive performance difference in gaming because of rediculous opinions of "AMD sucks at gaming" that have nothing to do with reality. As always, the GPU is FAR more important to gaming than the CPU. There are many areas where your 2500K is faster and "better" (power consumption) than your 720 BE and you shouldn't be "dissappointed" in your upgrade choice, gaming just is not one of those areas. You'll see very minimal gains for your dollars there as opposed to a GPU upgrade.

You have to keep in mind, that big part of those "massive difference in everything" guys were probably running a high-end SLI/CF-setup and were bottlenecked by their cpu, so if you have a single midrange-gpu, difference isnt going to be so massive...

I know this because I had a x6 1055t and now have a 2500k with a single gtx560ti, and in first crysis and in GTAIV I noticed massive gains, in BF3 MP I noticed small gains and in every other game it was pretty much the same.

Again this thread is about phenom vs bulldozer crossfire performance....

No where does the op claim it was better then Intel.

Again your guys throwing in Intel comparisons for"what ever" reasons aren't actually adding anything constructive to the thread

Yes we all know you have superior CPU, who cares get off your high horse.

Again since I have a phenom this was interesting

Thread locked because yet again, nobody can seem to stay on topic, and you guys continue to argue and call each other names.

PLEASE, in the future, before all this fighting starts, if you see a person starting a flame war back and forth...don't respond, just hit the report button.

If I see threads like this again, I will just lock and not leave a note from now on. This is getting ridiculous.

I agree with PiL. Shame this had to be closed down.

Seriously, guys ... this is the AMD SECTION. That means it's a place for people to talk about their AMD chips, not the place for Intel fans to come and bash them.

And BTW, there's certainly nothing wrong with those GPU scores in 3dMark11. So who really CARES that an OC'd Sandy or Ivy will get maybe a slightly higher P-score due to them doing better on the CPU portion of the test? It's not slowing down the friggin GPU's ... and this is a case where massive GPU power is being thrown at a test running at 1280x768 or something ridiculous like that?

There's nothing wrong WHATSOEVER with how Bulldozer is doing in this test, so seriously ... give it a rest, Intel fans. Go bash BD over in the Intel forums if you must, but keep your nose outta threads like this. Don't come over here stirring up trouble or you're going to incur the wrath of the Seniors tongue.gif
