hx1000- modular cpu 8-pin cable pinout

Thread Starter
hey OCN-
can anyone please provide me with a diagram for the pinout for the modular 8-pin cpu cable for an hx1000?
I did make a drawing, but it seems to have vanished frown.gif
Thats what I get for not doing the cables one at a time.....
I'll try and track down the manual for the hx1000, but I dont think that it has the pinouts in there...
Any help would be greatly apprieciated!

If you ask on the Corsair forum the RAMGUY usually responds pretty quickly.

Although you may get a faster response if you call. Either way works very well!

Im not sure about the hx series, but most 8 pin eps cables have yellow 12 volt wires on the the side with the clip and black ground wires on the other side. A crude text drawing wink.gif

The all do at the motherboard end but the relatively few PSUs I've seen can have unusual connections at the PSU end. Having a PSU tester or Multi-meter (if you're confident how to use it) is useful for double checking.

Edit: just remembered that the HX1000 has a fixed 24 and 8 Pin EPS cable not modular so you're right.

Thanks guys- I already have started a thread in the psu section of the corsair support forums. I'm going to check now if I have gotten a response.
Edit: nothing yet.

I already have the fixed cables sleeved. It also has a modular 8-pin for cpu, well it's actually a 4+4 pin. I can use two 8-pin cpu power cables on my classified motherboard, which is why I am using the hx1000 instead of the ax850. The ax850 comes with two 8-pin cpu cables also, but you cannot use it if your using 4 pci-e cables.
