Hey good luck with your new graphics card hope you enjoy smile.gif Anyways, the better choice is a bit more expensive. It's about another $100, but it won't fail you. Of course, I'm talking about Gigabyte. Here is the link to the card. I have used Gigabyte before with motherboards and GPUs, and it's never failed me at all. Hope you make the right decision wink.gif

The non-reference ones with a 680 style board overclock the best. Off the top of my head there's 3 of them: the Gigabyte Windforce and Zotac AMP, and one more that i can't remember (There may be more now, i havent checked in a while).

Wait, so why are you buying something from Amazon instead of something like Centrecom? Just curious...

Yeah thats the one you should get. EVGA 670 FTW uses ref 680 PCB. very good for OC. and EVGA customer support is very good.

EVGA FTW gets my vote. SHould arrive tomorrow.

Reading around - I've seen that the EVGA GTX670 FTW, despite it's plain look, actually is one of the best OC'ing 670's. Ironically, even dual fan versions or ones using custom VRM schemes and the like, have trouble reaching the same clocks.

Several FTW's have reached 1300MHZ, stable, core clock. Realize the insanity of a 30% OC on one of the most powerful cards out there...with basic cooling, not even moving into custom.

Plus, I haven't bought a GPU since early 2009.

But I have a 470 you say . . .

You have EVGA to thank for their AMAZING service. My GTX280 died, somewhat, wasn't working right at all, so I sent it back.

They sent me back a GTX470...

So...I am partial to EVGA, because I feel they have my back. That was a 50% boost in performance, on average, and DX11.

Awesome, the FTW seems promising, with the shipping 2 day from Amazon if I order today, Im leaving by Friday. How reliable are they?, Im also shipping to a hotel, which they say is not recommended but it can be done, they say.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_468636_2day?nodeId=468636#2day
if I look at this will I pay 10$ for shipping 2 day?
