Wanted - internet speed recorder

Thread Starter
I'm after something (pref. free smile.gif) like NetSpeedMonitor but which will record the speed of an internet connection.

Something either table based or like the graph that you can get at the bottom of uTorrent.

Many thanks,

Mike

Have you tried speedtest.net?

This may be what you're searching for: NetWorx

I've been using this application for several months now and it's packed with a healthy amount of features, completely free. There's a feature titled "Speed Meter" that sounds exactly what you want: something that will keep track of current, average, and max transfer rates (for both inbound and outbound). I haven't used that feature yet, but I'm certain this is what you're searching for. I hope this can help thumb.gif .

In addition, if you're looking for something more detailed, you can look at the "Hour Rates" under "User Statistics." The "Hour Rates" keeps track of the average download and upload rate, as well as the download volume, upload volume, and total volume of data moved each hour. All this information is then shown on a graph below that table as well.

I use a program called Rain meter. It is a desktop teak bar, similar to the windows side bar, but much better in my opinion. One of the plug-ins you can add is a network monitor, which will show your current upload and download. That should be exactly what you are looking for.
