Hello all, title says it all. Thinking of a replacement for my corsair tx650 cos its so loud. Keep in mind that I have an matx board which should save a bit of power.

Plenty, however the X-400 comes with only one PCIe connector, so to avoid using adapters or ordering a separate set of cables, you might want to go with the X-460.

most powerful fanless psu right now

and this also deathly quiet

but the x400 is ok i guess

i would take the higher efficiency of the super flower if silence was the ultimate goal

most power supplies produce some electrical noise. the worst thing about electrical noise is not the db rating. its the pitch. a psu can have a really low db, but sound annoyingly loud.

most high-end power supply fans are queit. and they are housed in the unit which dampens the noise. i would look for a psu that doesn't whine under load or idle.
