TRIM simply optimizes the SSD's garbage collection routine to speed it up and reduce write amplification.

The SSDs will run fine without TRIM, there is even an updated RAID driver coming out soon that will allow TRIM to work properly in RAID 0.

You have any dates on that one by any chance Sean? I'd put my two 240's back in a RAID0 if it were the case.

Sorry, but I do not. First news of this was late last year when they said they were going to bring it out with Intel RST driver 11.5. It has been 6-7 months now and shouldn't be too much longer. You can currently get beta drivers for Windows 8 I think and it will support RAID TRIM.
