[GB] Diablo 3 Item duping hotfixed over the weekend - Page 2

There are so many more bugs/cheats that this atm.
Hop on over to the forums to see, their are all sorts of gold dupes and cheats.
Region cheats to make millions of gold and all sorts, it's sad cause this is one of the reasons they made the disgusting drm in the first place was to deter pirates and cheating/hacks/bots.

Ah well with all the farmers and cheaters hopefully it will drive the price down of all the stuff on the ah making it a win for us tho I doubt it.

This is what i was hoping as well, but the question about it is how the RMAH will effect it all.

Im pretty sure when the RMAH goes online, I will stop playing D3. I don't want to play a pay to win game where someone who pays real money will automatically get an advantage over me.

So far they're mostly making gold, which would drive the prices of items up, due to gold inflation.

You could buy items in Diablo II as well, just saying tongue.gif. D2 is as pay2win as Diablo 3 will be.

I wasn't aware of item duping, but I know a few people botting in D3 who are making 300-500k gold per account (and running upwards of six accounts per computer in VMs; I've built some of the systems for this) per day, even after the recent nerf Blizzard implemented. Many are selling this gold, both for immediate profit (some are making ~400 dollars a day), and to have capital to manipulate real-money auctions when that goes live (buying out anything that's good to drive up prices then sell it, and farmed goods, with prices fixed by groups of botters).

From the scale of this stuff (the bots themselves are professional and subscription based), the D3 economy is going to be completely controlled by botters and farmers.

How are people making money without the RMAH, already?

Yes you could buy items through some sketchy gold farmer, and those who do it would face the risk of their account/items being stolen or hacked. Many people stayed away from gold farmers for this specific reason. Now they can Pay 2 Win without any repercussions to concern themselves over.

Anyone who doesn't know the troubling past of D2, please read this article before getting too deeply invested into your D3 character/s:
