So I got a 2500k i5 and I'm loving it, good upgrade from my 2.2ghz quad from amd.
But I have some questions about it.
I ran the auto OC that gave me a nice stable OC of 3.4ghz/4.3ghz, up from 3.3/3.8
I also turned off speedstep, cause i noticed my cpu was down to 1.6ghz during normal computer use, and well since this is an upgrade, I don't want to be downgrading, and it's not hot even when playing games or anything, so I figured it would be okay to turn off, so I could maybe get the 3.4ghz that I think i should be getting, while normally using the computer.
So now I'm running with that, also C1E or whatever is off as well as the speedstep, but I notice my clock is still 1.6ghz?
Also when playing GTAIV, I notice some bad stuttering, and found out that during mid game sometimes, it will just drop to 1.6ghz causing some pretty nasty stuttering for a few seconds. I don't think this should be happening.
Anyone care to help out?
