Need help with a cheap gaming pc

Thread Starter
Hello all. So I need help building a gaming computer. I would like one that can run diablo 3 on max while still being relatively inexpensive. My price range is 300-500$. I would prefer to buy all parts from new egg. Thanks for you help!

Signed,

Gaming noob.

D3 is easy to max, Any of these builds will do, Obviously the higher priced builds will have better FPS. All builds still need Windows 7 and peripherals.

Llano build all the way...up that 360 build a bit and you got yourself a bf3 max settings (well almost) system....very very sweet..I think I like my gfs system more then mine...maybe not but its def a great setup for the price

Only thing I would get different really tho is some 2000mhz ram as it really helps in my eyes atleast

Thanks a lot guys. I'll most likely be going with the 350 build. Ive been looking for a new system for awhile now. Been playing on my dell Inspiron for the past year...it's been painful to say the least.

For $350 with an APU build you can do much better:

AMD A8 3870k + ASUS F1A55-M LX - $145 shipped [Newegg] counting an additional $15 promo gift card

Crucial Ballistix Sport 2x2GB DDR3-1600 kit - $23 shipped [Newegg] (trust me, you will NEVER require more than 4GB of memory)

Pixxo CM-9E8A-B mATX case & 450W PSU - $30, ~$11 shipping [Meritline]

Sapphire Radeon HD 6670 1GB GDDR5 low-profile - $90 shipped, $15 rebate [Newegg] (it should be notable that this being the GDDR5 option should perform better)

WD Caviar Blue 500GB HDD - $65 shipped [Newegg]
Samsung 22X DVD burner - $14 shipped [Newegg]

Highest end APU build (3Ghz quad core, HD 6550D + HD 6670) in tiniest form factor at $378 shipped.

Alternatively, at less than $350:

AMD A8 3850 + ASRock A55M-HVS - $134 shipped [Newegg] counting an additional $10 promo gift card

Crucial Ballistix Sport 2x2GB DDR3-1600 kit - $23 shipped [Newegg] (trust me, you will NEVER require more than 4GB of memory)

Pixxo CM-9E8A-B mATX case & 450W PSU - $30, ~$11 shipping [Meritline]

HIS IceQ Radeon HD 6570 1GB DDR3 low-profile - $67 shipped/$10 rebate[Newegg] (this is an underclocked 6670 DDR3 - overclocking can close the gap!)

WD Caviar Blue 500GB HDD - $65 shipped [Newegg]
Samsung 22X DVD burner - $14 shipped [Newegg]

Fairly high end APU build (2.9Ghz quad core, HD 6550D + HD 6570) in tiniest form factor at $344 shipped.

Where do you live?
Do you need an Optical Drive?

For less than $420, the full A8 plus 6670 build would far outperform the G620 and 6670 build in all games. You simply cannot easily match a Hybrid crossfire 6550D +6670 build and its perks such as small footprint.

A Pentium with a 7770 would be better than an A8+6670 xfire. Getting a cheaper llano would make it more cost efficient. thumb.gif

It's difficult to think that the budget could easily make room for it, seeing as the build above could only manage a 6670 alone.

Also, the 7770 build could never be as small form factor.
