Its just a gaming console system, no really "wow" features, it just works and does pretty well. Its going to take some getting used to playing PS3 games if you're a medium - high end PC gamer (as the PS3 doesn't have AA and resolution on many games is 720p) its also running something in the range of a 4850 for a GPU, but the Uncharted series does have some pretty decent visuals (based on the game play from 2 & 3 as I've never played the first)
Hope you enjoy the new PS3!
its gpu is rsx, which is essentially a modified geforce 7900 gto(nv47 core) running at 550 mhz core clock but reduced bandwidth in the range of 7600
8 parallel vertex pipelines @550 MHz
24 parallel pixel-shader ALU pipes clocked @ 550 MHz
Floating Point Operations: 400.4 Gigaflops
nt really gr8 by todays standards, but it holds his own with a certain amount of optimisation and adequating software by its incredibly devoted devs.
