Kuhler Chronicles (Antec 920 Leak - Update 15 - 10/1/12) it's still not over. - Page 29

I was shocked to see the rep pop in this thread at all, and then they didn't even read the thread.....

Can't say I'm too surprised but I certainly hope some of the other campanies I am trying out for the first time will do better. Thermaltake and Asus I hope you treat me with dignity if I ever come crying to your customer service department.

Sorry you had to go through all this only to affirm people's worst fears - I hope to god my 620 never goes out.

I was thinking of getting a Kuler 620 for my 6950 but now I am sticking with my H50.

I read his thread before but it got me alerted that some of the statements are false.

We don't like to point fingers.

Let's get over with this and move on.

Like I've said, lessons learned and when it comes to liquid cooling, there are always a possible risk on leaks that's why we advice even if the instructions doesn't say it, Do a stress test before installing, the longer the better. (24 hour or 48) to guarantee that it won't cause you any problems.

Wow, really happy for you that this is finally over and resolved.

The fact that it took them the better part of four months is definitely going to be a factor when it comes to using my (currently shelved) 620 in another build. I still trust Antec's other products, though. My Antec 300 and Antec 750W PS are still working fine. thumb.gif

Did they say where the leak originated from and why? Definitely seems like something Asetek should know about to avoid any future failures/RMAs.

My post was concerning the original response from Antec on this thread:

We can possibly assist you as fast as we can to provide a solution for this issue.

Obviously this rep(maybe not yourself?) failed to read the thread - and in fact posted sounding all helpful after the situation had already been going on for months and was near resolution. It's not blatantly wrong, merely offensive to the customers/users on this forum.

I'm glad you guys have learned your lesson, that products can experience unexpected failure........

I'm personally totally "over this" as it doesn't really upset me that much to see someone else dealing with warranty woes as long as mine is working fine..... but the way the reps(including yourself Antec CS155) have asserted that everything was handled satisfactorily - when in fact the results were far from that - is offensive to the communities self respect. The whole reason this thread was made was to find out how your company would handle it, and the results are plain. You guys messed up - with one phone call his issue could have been escalated/taken care of on his first interlude with customer service.

Yes my post was meant to be offensive towards your company, and specifically your customer service. Only in response to the rudeness your companies representation has so far shown myself and the community here at OCN as a whole. When something is happening for the first time, that's the time you make sure it gets done right.......

Nocturin, you are a more patient individual than I am. I am confident that this great quality about you will pay off in the long-run (if it hasn't already!). Don't let this Antec rep get to you, it's not worth it. I am just happy you finally received your reimbursement. There are many people in this thread, myself included, that you have potentially saved from a long ordeal by chronicling your experiences with Antec (I was in the market to purchase a Kuhler 920, which is when I ran into your thread).

You have gone beyond the call of duty in keeping this thread updated to save others the trouble, that's good karma. For the ones that haven't learned a lesson and wish to continue debating inane facts such as whether Asetek or CoolIT makes the pump... well at least you did the best you could to get your message across.

I am happy that things are finally underway for you in terms of your reimbursement check and wish you my absolute best.

I just have one small piece of advice... but it's completely up to you. For all the trouble that they have given you, don't give them the satisfaction of sending you a Khuler 920 replacement pump. Do whatever you can to get reimbursed for it instead of a replacement. You've already dealt with so much crap and waited close 4 months... Once you receive your reimbursement check, what's another week of battle? I respect whatever decision you make regarding this, but if it were me I would tell them to take that replacement 920 and.... you can fill in the rest smile.gif

Yea I wouldn't use it again. Something happens and boom another 3 months to get parts. I work in customer service for a rather large company and they could have done so much better than they did. Less canned replies, more helping.

Canned replies+over 3 months without a PC= my kuhler 620 modded 480 up for sale with a less then 1 month old cooler. Got the same BS from corsair when i let them know kingston value RAM ran cooler, and overclocked better then there "famous" vengeance RAM sticks. Oh and don't forget the 5 RMA's of my Gigabyte X58A-UD7 then
I finally lost my cool and raged on the phone and got %50 of my purchase value reimbursed.
