Replacement Kindle or Tablet [SOLVED]

Thread Starter
My Kindle 2G's screen cracked and looking for a replacement.
Amazon is willing to replace it with the 3G keyboard for 85 dollars.
I asked if it can be replace it with the Fire for an additional fee but they wont do it.
If they had, I wouldnt be here.

Now the question is, should I replace it with the 3G for 85 dollars or buy a tablet.

I dont want to buy the Fire for 200 since there is no GPS and microSD slot.
So which tablet would you recommend?? Preferred 7 inches.

Reasons I am considering the Kindle 3G:
Easier on the eyes.
Cheap.

Reasons I am considering a tablet:
Multipurpose
Color
Bigger screen size.

I have the Kindle Keyboard without 3G and it works great for me. 85$ is not a bad price either. How long did it last before cracking?

I would look at the Toshiba excite 7 which comes out this month. It has and sd card slot, tegra 3 and an amoled display. You may also consider waiting for the upcoming Nexus tablet.

The 85$ kindle makes more financial sense though.

Just over two years.
The sad thing is I dont know how it cracked.
I put it the same place in my bag all the time and it didnt crack until now.
And it is padded.

That tablet is gonna be 500 dollars.
At that price I would get the Transformer Prime or iPad.

Ok I thought you just wanted a 7in tablet not 10. I think the nexus will be cheaper.

Buy both. Kindle is leaps and bounds ahead of tablets for reading books while the tablet would be used for more of an e-device. That's what I'm doing.

They seem to get to high standards these days. I never even looked at them before Russians started to provide reviews on them.
Seems like they are doing great and some have xda/4pda support. That means ROM's smile.gif

I have been looking at that seem to fit.
But my problem with it is that it doesnt use a micro or mini usb.
And I have been looking around and a lot of them dont use them.
ASUS, Toshiba, Samsung.
