MP3s losing/gaining a few kB every time I copy them?

Say I start out with an MP3 @ 320Kbps ripped from a CD I have, the original rip is say 10,000KB exactly. I transfer it to my phone, the phone copy might have 10,013KB or 9,998KB. Then I copy that to say my tablet, and it's now either 10,030KB or 9,984KB or something. I don't understand why this should happen, anyone know?

the compression can change when your moving it to different peices of software becuase of id tags and such. its nothing to worry about. the best way to check is move it from one hd to another and see if it changes. or from one usb stick to another. Personally i wouldnt worry about it becuase its only a few kb

It could also be due to different allocation sizes on the various devices thumb.gif
