Mouse/keyboard shutting off during computer use. SOMETIMES

hey guys, so lately, my mouse and keyboard will shut off at the same time, and i must reboot my computer for them to turn back on, not sure what is happening, i have tried different usb ports, and all power saving features are disabled. I checked event viewer and no luck, its just, my g9x lights will go off along with my g15. no clue why.

When this issue occurs, have you tried unplugging and replugging the USB devices before you reboot? If so, did reseating them (temporarily) resolve the issue?

This sounds like an issue I've seen which was resolved by the following hotfix for Windows 7: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2683549
(Don't mind the different symptoms described in the article; it is simply the most recent version of a cumulative hotfix which resolves a large number of USB-related issues.)
