new MC keyboard for hardcore FPS!

some of my keys on my steelseries 7g dont work anymore and i was wondering what would be the best mechanical keyboard for fps gaming? is the corsair vengeance K60 a good replacement to my SS 7g? give me opinions thank you!.

The K60 is not fully mechanical, I believe it's only the keys in red that you see.

For gaming, cherry reds and blacks are usually recommended. The difference is the blacks are stiffer. Browns are similar to blues but lighter and they have a less defined click, they're a good compromise and are usually recommended as a starting point.

Check out the leopolds from elitekeyboards.com. You can also look at Das keyboards. Rosewill makes some that tend to be a little cheaper.

For more gaming oriented ones Razer makes some, steelseries is also good.

The Corsair K60 and K90 are almost fully mechanical:

I really like them both.

Oh I see, my mistake. Considering that the K90 actually looks very nice.

CM Storm Quick Fire Rapid, basicly a Filco with a lot of logos and branding on it. Costar stabilizers and it's tenkeyless.
If you can get it in black or red where you live, that would be a fine selection.

I have the K90 and I play lots of FPS with it. I really like it but I do wish I had the blacks instead of the reds... The reds are just a tad too soft on the K90 to make it perfect for FPS. Other than that though I would say it is spectacular in every way.

I play a lot of FPS games and my keyboard of choice is Filco with Cherry MX Black.  Personally I prefer the black switches but some find them a tad too stiff.  Me, I pound away at my keyboard. tongue.gif

IMHO best keyboard for hardcore FPS player would be a Filco TKL with red switches. It's really expensive so if you're not ready to throw 140$ on a keyboard, you could alway have a look at the CM Storm quickfire rapid or even the k60 from corsair. Ncix is currently selling them for 60$ if you live in canada.
