That sounds like a good idea to me, I'd be willing to do that.

My uptime is too low and my dad's proxy server blocks everything but http traffic over ports 80 and 8080... So if it's mandatory I won't be able to do TC anymore.

Kinda in the same boat here, (in addition to what I earlier explained with v7, Ubuntu and HFM 0.9.0) I recently changed the password for my FTP and now HFM won't hear of it, I don't know if I will be getting my live HFM back.

If it becomes mandatory then ya, I'll run it 24/7 but if not then I wont be running it.

If my understanding is correct, if we can simply upload the log file to something like dropbox and have someone else run the HFM on it, it won't slow down anyone's folding?

It seems to affect certain people's folding performance yes.  Sharing the log file would allow someone else to monitor it through HFM, just need to find out exactly what HFM relies on and if it only needs the main log file or not.

Ideally it would be much easier to have people set up HFM themselves then just upload the HTML file it generates.

Something like that yes, personally that's how I monitor my rig, there's no noticeable performance loss IME.

HFM just needs the FAHlog and the queue.dat file to make its calculation - for the older clients, idk bout v7.
