Gaming laptop for $500? - Page 2

I'd camp some outlet sites like the lenovo outlet: http://outlet.lenovo.com. I got a lenovo y570 with a pretty hefty graphics card for around $500. It'll take some time and patience but some really amazing refurbished deals pop for a few minutes here and there.

Do you mind telling how/where you got it?

And what about this everyone, I was just looking at the refurbished ones.

I also buy used HW, but I can't tell you I know some place. I buy through eBay or just refurbished laptops - the HP dv6-6135dx is a refurbished laptop.
But the main point is that I don't think you'll find a better gaming performance with a used laptop currently.i searched eBay and didn't find better thing in your budget
Maybe ask the nieghbor

The one you linked to is a much lesser gaming laptop. The 6520G is not fast.
The first link to newegg is to a "out of stock" - they always do that. Their out of stock prices are amazing

Don't see it on Amazon. This Lenovo has the same CPU and graphics for $500, not sure which is cheaper. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834246328
