Since there's very few reasons to upgrade your PSU (a new component that needs more power than your current PSU can provide is the only one I can think of...), how long have you had your current PSU for and why did you get rid of your old one?

I've had mine for less than a year. My previous one was a 650W and I upgraded to a 750W. The reason I upgraded wasn't because I needed more power but because my previous one did not have detachable cables so cable management was bad.

1 Day. Haha, FSP Aurum Pro 1000w.

Used a Sparkle SCC-750AF for 14 months, Run's great, sold it to a friend. I upgraded because I'd often pull over 750w F@H, The SCC-750AF could handle it, but I jumped on a new one with a FSP sale.

Had mine a little over a year I think. Would kinda like to upgrade just to go modular and clean up my case a little more but need too many other goodies before dropping $100 on a new PSU. Need me a H100, 8120, better video card and been wanting a 2TB hard drive to run back up duties. So as long as my trusty TX750 doesnt kick the bucket on me, itll be in there a good while longer.

Iv bee n using this lsp ultra 550watt for about a month. Ultra wasnt ever a seasonic, but it looked decent and came with a lifetime unlimited warrinty. Hasnt craped out thus far. In my 6 year old 1k folding rig (converted dell p4 server) i still have the stock dell one, which is now dieing. Dosnt meet mimamal thrushholds, cant even boot my main system. Crashes the rig every couple of days. Just waiting for it to die. Im betting it goes in flames devil.gif

I'm using an OCZ stealthxtreme 500 watts in my other computer, never had a problem with it. It's about 4-5 years old.
