I cracked one open this morning to look at. Its the biggest CPU block that I have seen. It is also the most simple to disassemble and reassemble. One o-ring that goes into the channel like an o-ring is supposed to without tape tricks or freezing. Four screws from the top-down hold it together.
But it does look like they chrome plated the baseplate, so a warning, if you are the type that gets out the magnifying glass to look for a scratch in chrome, don't look.
No amount of white glove treatment can prevent every scratch from occurring on anything chromed, from the plater to the person who installs it, and you will scratch it anyway when you install it (duh). I say this because there are those types out there, seriously....
Anyway, here are some high-res shots for your enjoyment. I was considering replacing a block in my system with this, this morning. Bitspower says the block top is (black) acrylic and not POM/Acetal. It probably is, if it were acetal it'd probably feel a bit heavier.
Re: Baseplate, it does not appear to be bowed.
