CM 690 II Advanced + Swiftech H20-320 Edge HD Mounting Options

Hello,

I'm going to be purchasing a Swiftech H20-X20 Edge HD soon, but I'm battling against getting a 220 vs a 320 (2x 120 or 3x 120). I like the idea of using the parallel configuration to get 2 'loops' out of it, so I can cool my GPU as well as my CPU/Mosfets/ICH/IOH (with some additional hardware). However, I figure I'll need a 3x120 rad to achieve good efficiency (vs a 2x120).

The problem is that the CM 690 ii Advanced only supports 2x120 rads when mounting internally. However, the external mounting option (out the back and bolted using one of those 120mm rear exhaust spacer/mounting brackets) looks like it could support a 3x120 rad.

Does anyone have any experience mounting a 3x120 rad externally on the CM 690 ii, and if so did you run into any issues with weight distribution or cabling? I'm a little concerned about still fitting my 2xDVI cables into a 670, along with my headset's 1/4" jacks into my sound card. It looks like it'll clear it but I'm not positive.

Otherwise, am I safe just doing a 2x120? Plan is to have my Rampage 3 Formula's Mosfets/VRMs, IOH, and ICH water blocked, as well as the i7-970 and (once they release a compatible block) a 670 on it all at once. I plan on overclocking everything, and I can't WAIT to get the temps on this board down... IOH and ICH run hotter than my cpu half the time!

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the response and the pics, but if you notice in my original post the 320 that I'm considering is a 3x120 MM radiator. You're showing pictures of 2x120 radiators, which I already know will fit.

My concern is a 3x120 off the back.

Thanks for the response though, +rep for the pics!

At the moment i can only plug one vga plug in with my 320.
Lmao. Well that does successfully answer my question now xD

I suppose if a 4x120 can fit a 3x120 should be okay. Good to know!

Thanks again.
