Tweaking the CVARconfig tool linked here earlier, I created some breathtaking screenshots biggrin.gif

Water Ocean Tessellation is incredible and seems to create realistic water displacement ripples in a V shape for all characters and objects (see last screenshot)

These are my GPU settings and the CVAR settings, notice GPU max memory usage at 2672mb!

These are the screenshots, very high (though shading, postprocessing and a couple others say "custom") at 8xMSAA 1080p. Gameplay is around 15-20FPS

^ beautiful shots!!

on another note, I noticed that my memory usage (as reported my MSI AB OSD w/ HWinfo) got to at least 4750 MB yesterday (maybe higher, i just remember that number)...Surely this isn't accurate my crossfire 3GB vram cards still only have 3GB vram each...is Crysis pulling effective memory from somewhere else? thats the way I understand crossfire anyway..any thoughts?

edit:now that i think about it i prob need to half that number for overall usage per card...so 2375 MB each...so nm

Are there any other games that are using the Cryengine 3? Would love to see a open world game like Far Cry or Skyrim on this engine.

if anyone is interested, turning objects to high from very high gave me a between 10-20 fps performance boost.

i used to run everything on very high except shading on high. but now i run everything on high, except textures and water on very high. and i see absolutely no difference in image quality. it still looks sub-CGI. And I never drop below like 45 fps. Usually between 50-80.
