I was the lucky few who participated crysis3 alpha, without leaking any info, just want give a hint on visual presentation, from what I seen from a small MP map(which looked 1/3 as good as SP graphic) visually it already crapped out anything CE3 modder can throw together into crysis2 built cryengine3. which vastly superior to anything on the market and 99% 2013 line up. The only game that can surpass crysis2's visual will be no other than crytek's own creation.

I don't care if crysis3 got 6.0 in review(likely won't I expect a 8.5-9.5) by the moment I saw the individual blades of grass, it sealed my buying decision right there

BTW, you will need a really beasty machine to run it, I believe the final requirement will be higher than TC suggested, I can only say this much, anyway already got my new 690SLI ready just for crysis3 biggrin.gif

Not at all. Night time gameplay with all that volumetric fog and great lighting and shadows. I know Crysis 3 will not disappoint.

I've been playing through the Crysis series doing a bit of up a lead up to Crysis 3's release and I'm currently on C2 with MaLDoHD mod and although C2 is a dumbed down version of Crysis with irritating tutorial suit override scenes, it's still fun to play and enjoy visually. I'm definitely pre-ordering a physical copy of C3, it's just something that I do with this particular game since normally I'll have no preference as to weather I get a digi download or physical copy. So far the graphic for C3 look very impressive, I just hope the gameplay is isn't dumbed down anymore than it is in C2. It'd be nice if they had an option to have C1 type of controls for the suit and just overall, maybe it's just me but I liked having Q and E as peek out buttons.

Failed ? How so ? It sold millions of copies and was enjoyed by many. I thought it was great. I very much enjoyed the urban warfare of Manhattan and thought it was awesome that they got us out of the 'jungle' after having to endure so many games like that and actually having some storyline aside from "NOMAD ! run here and kill this and that", was refreshing imo. All 3 games enjoy a very large and fervent fanbase that is rivaled by few games, icons like Mass Effect and mega-shooters like BF3 aside.
Perhaps you didn't care for C2 but that hardly qualifies it as a 'failure'. lol...I'm sure there are many game developers who wish their games 'failed' that successfully. biggrin.gif

* I've got my Digital Deluxe Edition pre-order and can't wait.
