I too have a tight knit team. Yet right now I am on the hunt for a replacement i7-1 folder and a replacement Fermi Folder as Extreme Newbie is retiring from the TC temporarily. I have PM'd several people and to be honest, the response has not been promising. I like the idea of a Division 3 but like what has been stated already, "How do we keep them interested?". Axi your idea seems plausible with the prize system above. But at the same time could create a disparity between the different divisions in the matter of fairness. Remember that its not always about the hardware. I have seen a 2500k Overclocked to almost 5ghz get almost no -bigadv WU and a 2500k at 4.2ghz get nothing but -bigadv. Its the luck of the draw on which work units that you get too. This is of course not as common but it does happen. Its a lot to think about here. I will post the link up in my Team Thread and try to get a response from my team.
Well bigadv likely won't be a "problem" much longer as most of our rigs won't be eligible once Stanford makes the alleged change.
I hate complicating things, but would there be a way to weight the "value" of folders on a fair scale? Consistency/PPD generation? or something like that.
