For Ivy-Bridge these temps look good assuming you were using a pretty indecent air cooler. Bring in an H100 and you should see the temps decrease around 10-18 degrees C.

Yes but around 5-10c lower at max, not 10-18c that's only if you do watercooling thumb.gif.

A H100 is just not worth the outlay in cash for the difference in performance your going to see, I used to own a H100 and sold it within a couple of weeks as my ols Zalman nps 9900 max cooled my cpu just as effectively.

To see real results spend your money on proper watercooling.

I don't even have words. If you're buying the best cooler out there, do you honestly expect it to be cheap? Just like cars, it might not be worth it, but heck, if you want a Bugatti Veyron you need to pay for it!

Oh, and if your NPS9900 cools your processor just as good as the H100, you must have done a terrible job mounting the H100.

I would trust chewy with just about anything OC related...All in one water solutions are horrible and were known as such ever since release. I don't know how and or why they have gain such an increase in popularity and user base. A rasa kit costs about the same and should blow a H100 or any derivitive out of the water.

*edit* Almost forgot..Got yo back CHEWY! =p

Best cooler out there.... Are you serious ?? For it's price point you could have two of the best air coolers that perform the same, You obviously have no experience with proper watercooling... I see enough H series threads with unhappy people expecting better temps.

The H series coolers are nothing but over priced crap that rely on the "watercooling" branding name to sell. I do know how to seat a cooler properly rolleyes.gif I tried a dozen re-seats with various tim and still it could only just about handle a 2500k @ 5ghz reaching high 80's low 90's temps on IBT, If they sold for half the price then i would say it was good value.

If you want proper watercooling get a custom loop, Dont waste your money on inferior all in one systems.

I get the exact same temps on my 3770k @ 4.6GHz on my Noctua D14 and RASA RX360 kit (with no GPUs on loop even). It really makes almost no difference with Ivy after a decent air cooler... Both result in exactly 90C max with 12 hours of Prime95.

I expect him to see 0 difference. His temps are already a HECK of a lot better than my 3770k is getting on both coolers. 4.6Ghz @ 1.25v. However, comparing one ivy's temps to another ivy's temps is just impossible, they all see very different temps at the same voltages and cooling.
