Finally moving to PBT caps.

Thread Starter
I have a Filco ninja Majestouch 2 with black switches. I just sold a spare computer part and I am looking at key caps for my keyboard as it comes with abs by default, and I can see the shine coming in already. I want to give PBT a try and I have 50 in pay pal to help pay for it.

My main problem: The best one I found and liked is on E-bay here:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PBT-black-engraved-key-caps-for-Filco-keyboard-Cherry-/300580706536?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item45fc0198e8#ht_2763wt_1011

It says it works on Filco, other people say it does, fine. Does anyone here have pictures of it? How noticeable would these keys be in real life? I am not the greatest typer in the world. I still poke but I get roughly 60 wpm. Fast enough for me. Will these be noticeable enough to see as it is black engraving on black key caps?

I am also having problems finding WASD PBT replacements. I initially wanted white, along with ESC, space bar, enter, shift, and f8, but those keys are easy to spot anyway, so I gave those up. I would prefer a white PBT laser or engraved set at this point.

So far the best I found is still black keys, but it has blue engravings (I am assuming engraved and then paint filled, but they seem rather expensive. Does anyone know where I might be able to find white WASD PBT keys possibly for a lower price? If not, how well do you think these will stand out?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Blue-WASD-Kit-Customized-Cherry-MX-Key-Caps-/230797133004?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item35bc94c4cc#ht_500wt_1203

I appreciate any help in advance. I moved to mechanical keyboards over a year ago and I love them.

Black engraved on my Filco Linear R. That link is for qtan's ebay store but he has his own vendio site which is cheaper

http://www.vendio.com/stores/E-sports-Gaming-equipments

He is an awesome guy and I have purchased many things from him. He also has a vendor forum on geekhack.org which he updates with the latest stuff.

ahh, his store is slightly cheaper. Thank you. The pictures are always tough to judge by, but from yours even though some keys are tough to see, it looks like for the most part, they are fairly easy to identify up close. Maybe it will help me with typing as well.

Do you possibly have any information for white engraved wasd pbt caps? I cant seem to bring myself to get any colors. I always revert back to simplicity, and it doesn't more simpler than black and white.

EDIT: I wonder if he will be kind enough to set me up with 4 WASD white engraved caps with the black set I order. I will ask him and see if I can do that. Still looking for a backup WASD white engraved set though just in case he doesn't.

6 months of use and you can see a TAD bit of shine on the spacebar.

CLOUD OF BOO... whoops.

He would have to break a set for what you want.

iirc, wasdkeyboards will be offering pbt soon. Multiple colors too.

But I'm not a fan of their engraving.

He told me he would look. Worst case scenario I may have to buy a white set too, which will happen later. Other than that the shinyness doesn't affect me. I am sure my abs keys have some, but I rarely sweat and generally wash my hands before using my keyboard. Pbt in general will be a good solution for me.

I should be ordering a set soon.

49ers faithful, for that other niners fan in here.

For those that ordered from Vendio.com, have you ever had an issue with the international shipping and receiving your items? I am just sticking to black pbt engraved, but am actively looking for PBT WASD alternatives.

I contacted the seller at vendio.com and all he could do is offer me a white engraved pbt 37 piece set, just for WASD. I thought about it, but decided against it.
