I want(ed) a Race. Seeing quite a few posts about strings of LEDs going dim after 3-4 months. People seem to be blaming it on the board flexing and poor solder on whatever regulates voltage to the LEDs? No clue how that works.

Don't see anything negative about the Pures yet. Let us know how it is (especially the quality of the machined alum case).

This Vortex Aluminum Pure with Cherry Reds feels like I am typing on a Cloud of Glowing Orange Boo...

Well,

MUCH nicer Aluminum shell than I expected.

Where do you buy these? And I really like the Purple LEDs actually. Do you have any with Cherry Reds, or at least Browns? Thanks in advance. Trying to decide if I should buy one of these or a Quickfire Rapid

The link can be found in the Reddit thread, but here's a direct link. These are Cherry Browns. The CM Quickfire is $75 (Amazon) verses $200 Vortex. The Vortex are Cherry Browns while the CM Quickfire comes in Black, Brown, or Blue. I would first come up with a price range before you start comparing quality, switch preference, layout, etc.

I do love the Vortex KBT PURE. It reminds me of the Poker. I'm currently trying to figure out my next mechanical keyboard purchase and this one has shot to the top of my "considerations" list. Thanks OP!

I see. Well $200 is way out of my budget. Umm, the Quickfire comes in Black, Brown, Blue, and Red. But only the Blue is $75, rest are $80+. I want the red, which is $90.
