GPU: core:1200MHz memory: 1375MHZ voltage: 1,225V
RAM: Timing: 9-10-9-27 voltage: 1,572V frequency:1866MHz
(This is my gaming setting for BF3, because it's completely stable.)

Nice nevertheless. I can also get a bit more juice out of my card, but i prefer to keep it 1200/1400 stable with 1.2v for the core and 1.150v for the vram

The reason why scores dip when you raise it over a certain point, it's GDDR5 ECC. It does it's job up to a certain point then you will begin to BSOD or crash
If there are still too many errors throughput will drop naturally

I'm curious has anyone done any 2d underclocking/volting? I run 150/150 which seems to work on all my movies/streaming but curious how low I can take the voltage.

I started wondering that yesterday too, i was watching a movie and noticed my card wouldnt leave idle mode and the movie was playing fluidly. How much min voltage and clocks would you think the card could go?

Now I play BF 3 on these clocks:

and it is stable too.

Alright, 1.175V is a safe voltage for a 24/7 overclock if a GPU is doing a GPU intensive program 24/7 correct? I currently have my 7850 at 1150MHz, with 1.175V. Temps don't go above 60C.

Gotta say I'm really enjoying the power this card has to offer. Right now I'm running it at 1250/1400 with 1.25v and temps max at 72ºC and only in some games. Runs like a beast biggrin.gif

It's like c'mon you're on the net now, 1 app won't hurt plus it's so small it does't matter

Radeonpro's integrated SweetFX injector makes it worth it alone. I use SMAA (ultra) over all of my ingame antialias options.

A couple of tips for you fellow 7850 guys.

Ram heat-sinks are an absolute MUST when your using 1.275-1.3v or so. I was thinking the VRMs were limited clocks due to excessive heat, so I removed 4 ram sinks and stuck them on the "Sapphire" cover plate. Needless to say, this did not work.

After running Furmark for less than a minute, GPU-Z started reporting crazy numbers and artifacts everywhere. The VRM sinks were much cooler but the ram chips were very hot. So hot in fact I could not hold my finger on them.

Needless to say, I put the heatsinks back on the ram chips tongue.gif

Now.... to find a better way to cool the VRMs thinking.gif
