This is a good idea. The whole point on cheating is to gain extra perks that other people won't have. If you start forcing the people who use these "perks" to gain an unfair advantage to play other people with exactly the same "perks" would be pointless for the cheaters lol IMO this is better than the whole permaban thing because the people who have spent money on the game will still get to play online, just not with the people who are playing honestly.

That's awesome. I can't remember where I read it, but one blogger (might have been Jeff Atwood) suggested stuff like this. If you quarantine the hackers and cheaters, but do it in such a way that they don't realize they're quarantined, then they will continue to hack and cheat without bothering legitimate players. However if they're banned, then they realize it right away and will switch accounts and continue being a menace.

I actually laughed out loud. No one should ever use a system like VAC, it is trash. I know people who have been cheating for years with the most basic of cheats, and it has yet to detect them.
