Installing new mono but doesn't boot--gigabyte x79

Thread Starter
Received a gigabyte x79 ud5
Installed just one module and a GeForce 560ti
Have h100 on
One hard drive and corsair ax750
The mobo shows theirs power but when I turn it on theres a beep, some fans spin for around a second and they turn on though the power button on mobo is still lit up

Swapped my corsair 520hx and everything works and it posts
Definitely seems to be mobo?

I would think power supply if swapping it out resolves the issue.

do a simple power supply test on your failing power supply units.

it is the easiest way we determine if a power supply is failing.
using a paper clip put into ATX 20/24pin 1side Green wire, the otherside any black wire.
then
Plug only the A/C cord into the power supply
If the fan is running and power supply runs, most likely your power supply is good.

then if you still thinking it is a bad power supply, get a power testing test out the volts to see if there is any unstable volts outs.

Try removing the logitech mouse USB receiver dongle, then start the computer up

I just bought a Logitech performance MX mouse and from what I understand the gigabyte mobo thinks the mouses USB receiver dongle is a bootable USB drive. I was searching around the net for a solution and came across this thread.

I have exactly the same issue. I have a GA-x79-UD5 with a H100 cooler on a i7 3930. The AX750 a brief power on then stops functioning. I replace it with a spare and the system works. Definately something is wrong with the AX750 and x79-ud5 combo. I plugged the AX750 into another system and it works perfectly. Something about this PSU and this board together does not work.
