Need Reassurance Finally geting a 27" Korean monitor!!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ACHIEVA-Shimian-QH270-Lite-Quad-HD-2560x1440-16-9-D-Sub-Computer-Monitor-/220961455233?pt=Computer_Monitors&hash=item3372543c81

Im thinking about getting the above one or this Potalion: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Perfect-Pixel-27-inch-New-Potalion-2710QW-2560x1440-WQHD-Quad-HD-Monitor-/140757463601?pt=Computer_Monitors&hash=item20c5cc7231

and I was wondering since these don't have OSD, is there way to adjust for color tints or callibrate them without having a calibrator? I don't have the money to buy one...I have read the forums and I believe someone mentioned uploading color profiles from online...has anyone here tried that with these...does it work?

Also do I need to buy a power brick or do they all come with one compartable or U.S. use?

Has there been any problems here with some of you long time users with these monitors (are they reliable in the longer run?)

Finally, can you message the seller and ask them to check to see if they work before they ship them and their pixel condition? and who is the most reliable/best seller?

I just ordered a pair of the Potalions; they should be arriving soon.

Here's some useful info I've gleaned from the internet over the last few days:

- BigClothCraft (who sells the Potalion) will pay for return shipping if the monitor is DOA or breaks in the first 30 days
- BigClothCraft ships using DHL express, and will check the monitor prior to shipping to ensure everything's working as it should. He offers this as a free service.
- The Potalion is the cheapest monitor that has a "pixel perfect" option. Pixel perfect means there are no stuck pixels (ie - pixels that are always on at a certain colour), but doesn't guarantee there are no dead pixels (ie - dark pixels).
- All the monitors have VESA mounting holes but you may need washers to install a mount because some screw holes are fairly shallow. Very few people have received the Potalions so far, but it'd be a safe assumption that the stands are terrible. I'm going to see how mine are and if they're bad, order the $20 desk stands from Monoprice.
- Colour calibration is tricky, and afaik nobody has posted calibration profiles for the Potalion yet. However, the panels are all the same so you may be fine with just installing a profile from something like a Catleap.
- The Potalion has a universal voltage input transformer, so whether you're on 110V or 230V it should just work. BigClothCraft ships with a step down transformer anyway, as well as a universal adaptor.

PS - I made an offer of $620 ($310 a piece) for the perfect pixel Potalions and he accepted. As far as I can tell, he seems to be the best seller.

I almost went for the Potalion but I knew the Shimian had easily accesible VESA mounts and I already ordered a stand. I looked for a pic of the back of the Potalion but didn't see one. It would have been nice to save $30.

For anyone else who might be wondering the same about the Potalion, here's an unboxing of one which does show easily accessible VESA mounts.

Unless you plan on replacing the stand, I would stay away from the Potalion. A stand that slims down toward the base is just not going to be stable at all.

So it won't have stuck pixels, but it can have up to 5 dead ones? Why wouldn't they count them the same? The end result is the same: Lame lol.
Not really the chance that you will notice a dead pixel is extremely small given the density of the 2560x1440 res. But a pixel stuck at a bright color will be quite distracting.

Are the pixel perfect ones actually pixel perfect? I don't want to pay for something that is not guaranteed.
