Wanna get a good sound card, but i don't want to pay over $100. I've looked at creative, and it seems their slipping on overall quality. Asus Xonar would be new for me seems alright. The one with best reviews looks like omega. Are there any you would recommend, or ones i should look at? Will be using it for gaming and music my system when done is:
cpu: phenom ii 960t
Motherboard: sabertooth 990fx
PSU: Ocz 750w
ram: corsair vengeance 1600
video card: evga geforce 550 ti
speakers:Labtec Pulse-424
heatsink/fan: cooler master hyper evo 212

Appreciate any help the reviews of each of the above kinda make it difficult to choose the omega seemed the best.

A good starter card is the DS or DX I started with the DS and still have it. Love it too. See the link in my sig.

Starts with DG, then DX. You will want to skip DS because it offers small improvement compare to DG.

That system looks pretty good overall, way better than what is in your sig. As far as the sound card goes, a Xonar DG will give you good sound and the benefit of an on-board headphone amp, for less then $35. You can't beat that.
