Hi all,
We have a great many volunteers who offer countless hours of their busy lives to help keep Overclock.net running; and we appreciate them all greatly - the place absolutely would not function or hold the esteem it has without their continual efforts, and I consider myself lucky to have worked with such an all-star team.
Every once in a while, someone comes along who decides that "above and beyond" is not enough. These kind of people are something special - their dedication to their duties and the progress they are able to make is outstanding, and they set an awesome example for the rest of us to try and follow just by how much they love what they do. zodac, our longtime Folding@Home Editor, is one of those people.
Leading the charge of the already successful Folding@Home team into something that is a true force to be reckoned with, both in terms of raw contribution to the project and in our climb up the team rankings, has been thrilling to watch as a member and as a member of the management team, and the number of people who participate in the activity because of, in some part, his efforts are probably too many to count. For the Overclock.net Folding@Home Team and the community as a whole, zodac is a legend.
All good things eventually come to an end, however, and zodac will be leaving the team as of tonight - life took precedence, an education waits to be conquered, and after a couple of years where he has easily put in more hours in aggregate than even I have, I'd say a little time off is much deserved.
So, with that said, please join me in thanking zodac for his innumerable contributions, and if there is anything you can think of that might be able to bribe him into staying with us, please let one of us know.
Enjoy your retirement, Z!
