The heat in your room is probably from your crazy temp inside the PC. Like he said, try reseating your heatsink.

Reseat the heasink using Arctic Silver 5. And make sure its seated correctly and is tight on the mobo. Also check to insure the fan is working properly.

Wait a sec....

28-33C ???... if so, then that seems fairly normal to me.

Perhaps I'm wacky, but my idle is anywehere from 34-44C, depending on the ambient temp. System is Rock Solid stable. Never a hitch, glitch or hiccup.

...jeez, hope I didn't just jinx myself

first off those temps idle stock are fine

second. i found that using TAT to produce full load produces abnormal high temps compared to using TAT just for temp monitor and using dual prime try that and watch ur temps drop!

Whoa . . . if that's high, my systems must be really cooking. My desktop runs around 38C on idle. I use SpeedFan to bring it down while I'm playing BF2; all my fans maxed out bring down the idle temp down to 36C.

My laptop heatsink fan decided to succumb to a software conflict between XP and the Sony program. Poor little P3 800 got up to almost 60C! Finally fixed it and got the temps back under control.

ic.

also u could try lowering ur ambient... i just switched rooms with my tower. and my idle temps are now 21-23C!!! ambient means everything!!!

thats about as high as id go with any temps even sub zero... dont wana shorten its life

for more info on my temps visit my thread http://www.overclock.net/intel-build...ations-10.html currently the last post
