Copper Waterblock turned Blue!

Thread Starter
I used some white vinegar to soak the water block and left it in the sun for a 20 mins and now the mirror finished CPU block is blue! all Oxidized! Washed it with Hot running tap water now and dish washin soap, its not coming off. What do I do? >.< Should I pour ketchup all over it and leave it there for a few hours or should I squeze the juice outta a lemon and leave the lemon on top of it? What do I do? frown.gif

Liquid Brasso should do the trick, was chemical reaction from acetic acid and copper oxides created when liquids dried.smile.gif

You can get Brasso at Hardware store and plain old water is fine for rinsing . When done cleaning don`t get too obsessive about mirror finish, it does not make difference. What counts is that the two mating surfaces are as similar as possible and that you use a good TIM such as MX4 or Coolaboratory ( my opinion ) thumb.gifbike.gif

I washed it with Hot water and soap and rinsed it with more hot water!, everything the reservoir pump and the block, now placed them on a towel and tissue for drying.

After they are dry should I blast them with some coolant since I dont have any distilled water and really dont want toi risk ruining my block and stuff? >.<<br />
Thanks again bud +reps!
