[Build Log] Frost Phoenix (NZXT Switch 810)(Ivy Bridge 3570k)(XSPC EX Radiators)(Water-Cooled)

Okay so the name I have bestowed on this system is "The Frost Phoenix". The Frost part of the name is mostly wishful thinking. That is to say I had hoped that it would run cool or frosty with the water cooling I had planned to implement despite its hefty overclock. This wishful thinking was given even greater import with all the reports of Ivy Bridge being hotter than Sandy Bridge. The Phoenix part of the name is there for several reasons: First, the mythological creature rising from the ashes is pretty sweet; Second, I am from Phoenix, AZ; Third, I used only Bitfenix Spectre Pro fans in this build.

So have you already built the rig? Build logs are supposed to be made as you put the rig together. haha

I transferred some of the water-cooling stuff from my Lancool PC-k58w chassis, which I painted and modded to fit a 120mm radiator in the floor (It already fit a thin 280mm radiator in the roof) to the extraordinarily magnificent NZXT Switch 810. It's pictured here with some of the swag I put in it.

Case, Mobo, CPU, Waterblock, Memory, XSPC EX 240mm radiator (Painted White), GPU, and Captain America (Provided by my son). To paint the radiator I used a self etching primer, which I wet sanded with an 800 grit sandpaper, then I used a rustoleum satin white paint, which I did two coats of and wet sanded it with a 1500 grit sandpaper.

Leak testing the XSPC res pump combo and the frozenq helix res. Yes, I have two reservoir's in my system. I didn't know if there was anything wrong with this. If there is something fundamentally wrong with this that upsets the ethics of water-cooling somebody please tell me. This was a lesson to me on how much heat a pump can add to a loop. I didn't have any fans blowing on this mini loop and the water inside got hot!
