Got an intel 510 series SSD about 8 months old, going to get 1/2 more soon. I got a EVGA Z68 SLI motherboard and a WD raptor HDD. My board has a total of 6 ports, my SSD and HDD take up the Sata 3 6 Gb/s ports, my 2 CD drives take up the the next 2 ports (sata 3 GB/s) and my esata takes up the next leaving 1 port open. can I run raid 0 with 3 drives, 2 in 6 GB/s and 1 in a 3 GB/s port? If I run 3 drives, would that be considered JBOD? what would I need to run 2 or 3 of these SSD's?

I do not think JBOD will improve the performance upon anything. You do lose the TRIM function on the SSD until the new intel Raid driver comes out. But still, you don't gain anything by raiding theses drives.
Before I got the 240GB Chronos Deluxe, I have go through the idea of Raid 0 my 128GB M4 or Vertex 3 120GB and even bought 2 Force GT 120GB and thinking to Raid them. In the end, I don't see much difference and in the end I ended up with 4 different Sata 3 SSDs laying around with 3 X25-Ms at work, SSDs are addictive.
Heck I just wanted my Diablo 3 to load faster.

Then you should look into Raid 0 with Toggle Drive like the Chronos Deluxe or other 240GB+ drive.
They do perform a bit faster than the 120/128GB counterparts. Yet, I believe raid will increase your access time.

Thanks but no, I won't do anything but Intel for SSD because of their reliability, and because I already own one it would make no sense to to get something else. Half my parts are old now so going to something newer just wouldn't be right. What I'm asking is about the sata inputs and how it would work with 2 SSD's in the 6.0 GB and another in a 3.0 GB

Like others have said, using RAID slows down the POST and you can lose TRIM in some cases- I would say forget about it: focus on disabling unused things in the BIOS, having large external hard drives on USB really slows down the boot process- look into eSATA, etc.
As for mixing SATA II and III, it doesn't matter if they are on the same controller.

you would slow down the whole array to sata 3 speeds, so it wouldn't be the best setup to run 3 drives unless you went to a raid controller to get all 3 drives on the same speeds. that's why i wound up buying my raid controller to run my 3x force 3's since there is only 2x sata 6g ports on z68 mobo's.
So either run a raid 0 setup with 2 drives both on the sata 6g ports, or get a raid card to run 3 drives at full sata 6g speeds.

As for mixing SATA II and III, it doesn't matter if they are on the same controller.

If you haven't noticed, people ARE answering your questions by evaluating your responses and preconceived notions. Your attitude isn't welcome.
Like others have said, using RAID slows down the POST and you can lose TRIM in some cases- I would say forget about it: focus on disabling unused things in the BIOS, having large external hard drives on USB really slows down the boot process- look into eSATA, etc.

So either run a raid 0 setup with 2 drives both on the sata 6g ports, or get a raid card to run 3 drives at full sata 6g speeds.

I would be doing a raid card in this case, I'm just wondering if it's even possible to do it the other way.
