That ''smoothness myth'' is not true anymore. With the latest 12.6 drivers, screen tearing is gone, and it's now smooooth like butter in Eyefinity.
12.6 drivers are a MAJOR release for AMD owners. Big improvement all across the board for Eyefinity with multi-GPUs owners. So those talking about their past experiences with the 6xxx serie, or with pre-12.6 drivers, are not giving accurate info anymore. Useless.
Just for fun I took some picture this morning of some games I'm playing on my set-up: 4X7970 Quad-Fire with 3X30'' at 7680X1600. Max settings max AA on everything. Smoooooth like butter with 12.6 beta drivers.
And you don't need 4Gb for 3X 24''. Believe me. 3Gb is enough for my set-up. So more then enough for 3X24''.
