Worth upgrading from X58 to Z77? - Page 2

Yep, agreed no need to ditch your current setup yet (I'm on the waiting for Haswell train too) smile.gif
New graphics card would be nice though, that 4870 is probably starting to suck some wind with your games at 1920x1080.

Yeah a month ago i would say do it.. But x58 prices have dropped way down.. So you cant make out very well on the turn around like a month ago.

You would get like 220 - 250$ for your cpu/mb/ram i7 3770k = 319$ then you add the mb then the ram..

When i sold my X58 i got almost 400$ which made it worth it.

yeah upgrade that GPU and you'll really notice some performance increases for gaming.

I wouldn't have "upgraded" from my X58 rig if my motherboard had not started to have issues. I'd just go with a new GPU if you're having an itch to upgrade. Maybe even push that CPU a bit further.

I would wait as well, nothing can even come close restrained your system right now, not mentioning you can still OC it further.
