Using a 2600k, liquid cooled "custom loop" on a z68 board.
First, I have a FEW questions and please no story as an answer. I want to get 4.0 Ghz out of processor and use the 1600 Mhz memory at it's 1600 Mhz speed instead of 1333 Mhz.
Raise the multiplyer, and core clock and that's all?
As of right now my Multiplyer is x16 bus speed is at 99.8 Mhz and what's the x38 I see a lot?
I have read nearly every OC guide and it usually talks about something but doesn't say what it is, what it does, why it needs to be tweaked.
If one of you has a Z68 SLI can you please share with me what you did in your bios to overclock and and I need to do in general to get 4.0 Ghz? explain what I have to crank up, what it will affect, what it does.
