[The Verge] Vizio reboots the PC - Page 7

Very cool article. Had no idea they were an American company either. Their tv's are great quality given the price point they sell at and last pretty well. Those laptops and pc's look dang nice. Might have to give them a look. Great job vizio on the non crapware setups.

Vizio TVs were always trash. Why trust them with a PC? I read all of your commenrs about their TVs being awesome. When I was shopping in 2008, all their TVs @ 1080p lookes greyed our and cheap. In fact, they sold mostly 720p sets at the time. Still not impressed with laptop either. My desktop was cheaper and is much faster. Besides, the design/color scheme is an Applw clone, and I hate Apple.

Their TruLED TV's with local dimming are actually extremely nice for the price in my opinion. I believe their 55" TruLED is the best deal. If I were in the market for a TV I would without a doubt get one compared to many other competitors for the same quality panel around twice the price.

Any fool could see that the PC giants are sitting on faulty business strategies that leave room for someone to come in and out do them. However, greed always prevents those messiah companies from ever emerging.

It remains to be seen if they are of the same caliber as MacBooks. Price wise, they aren't all that much less expensive. Not to mention they come with zero software, while all Macs ship with iLife, etc.
Anyway, I'm debating between this and a new MBA. Need some solid review first. Vizio seems to be the way to go for PCs anyway.

Which OS do you prefer for laptops? I'm getting a new laptop myself soon too, and I know I hate using Windows on a laptop, so it makes my choice pretty easy.

Of course your desktop was cheaper and faster, what the **** did you expect? But I don't think you can carry around your desktop with the ease that you can these laptops. So to me your comment just seems stupid to me, why would you try comparing your laptop to your desktop. I don't compare my earbuds to a ful 7.1 audio system.

Their stuff are nice, but one think is lacking is the Optical Drive, i guess you need to cough up additional $ for external DVD or Blu-ray Drive, but sure if i'm willing to carry additional brick to watch something from the disk
