Why is my computer slowing down my network?

Thread Starter
I've posted about this before but I didn't receive any answers.

I've been playing games COMPLETELY disconnected from the internet, not Ethernet, and I don't even have a wireless card.
Why/how does this slow down my families internet and what can I do to fix this? I can't play any games now because it slows down everyone's internet.

If nothing is connected you cannot slowdown other Internet User.(you arentconnected lol)what does their computer do etc?I will go on a hunch!go to speedguide.net w7 section.in there you ll find tweak for ecn. Enable that on all computer in the house (yes even those not on the web)why?because someone is probably using them without anyone knowing it.what ecn will rois lower bufferbloat. It wont fixity since thatcan only be done at isle end but it should help
Warning:one at a time you will need to test each system(once)if they support ecn.sadly some don't.if it isn't supported then you wont be able to enable ecn on the system ecn doesn't work

Ps:ignore the other tweak .do not use their auto fix either.you probably don't need them. Don't forget to read the forum under lot of added info under w7 optimisation.often Philip answer issue User have

Are you playing something that wants to go out and explore the net? Perhaps to phone home and make sure you have legal copy? That could be tying up the networks as it would just keep trying. Why not unplug your system from the LAN totally. Leave your family to surf and YouTube with out you frown.gif

Unplug the ethernet cable and check to see if the internet continues to be slowed down.
