Can someone with Eyefinity/Surround take a BF3 screenshot for me? - Page 3

The advantages on the side monitors come depending on how far from an object you are. If I am close to something in my peripheral vision, obviously it will look skewed IRL. That is what eyefinity is meant to simulate in FPS. That peripheral. Not something you stare at to see perferctly but just enough to notice movement and lights etc. It's quite nice.

It doesn't look very useful in a screenshot because the edges are really stretched out, but it does make a pretty noticeable difference in person.

What has always put me off is the cost (both of the actual monitors and of the computer hardware that it takes to run games like BF3 in Ultra at these resolutions for 60 FPS+) and the bezels.

BF3 at launch had the problem of all your indicators being on the left screen instead of spread accross all 3. Skyrim had map issues as well as menus being entirely too zoomed in. Dead Island had HUD issues as well (zoomed in)
Eyefinity/Nvidia Surround looks awesome, and it's amazing to play in, but the amount of issues you have to deal with, or find workarounds for is annoying. Then to top that all off, throw in the SLI/Crossifre issues that are ever present, and really it's just not worth it to me. I have since gone to using a single screen for gaming, and the other 3 monitors for different windows of stuff.
Will I go eyefinity again? Absolutely, once more bugs are ironed out, and more games start actually supporting it correctly.

The crossfire issues were the worst and really killed the experience for me, AMD's incompetence on that front simply amazed me, on a single screen it might not be so bad but when only one gpu is utilized across three screens it really shows, especially if your playing pc exclusives.

Am I the only person that thinks 30FPS is fine? Heck, BF3 was probably built around the concept of running at 30FPS in mind (that's what the consoles run it at after all).

I think 30fps is completely okay. I hate people that talk all that ish about 30fps and then i bring up consoles and they are like that is different. LOL you always get guys like if your system won't play at 60fps then it's not playable. So i will be like okay so consoles are unplayable for you and I always get the......."well consoles are different" lol
