Recommend a headphone

Thread Starter
Okay I made this thread after reading the stickys.
I currently purchased a H110, and its simply horrible. While listening to J-Pop or any other genre the sound cracks very badly. Its only useful feature is the mike.

Currently online shopping is not possible for me. I live in an area where Logitech and Corsair products are very easy to get.
I could find something in Razer as well. Sony will be a little costly.

I was thinking of getting a Corsair Vengeance 1300 Headset, will it remove the cracking sounds?

Prior to this I rented a friend's Sony headsets, now I don't know much about them, the only thing I do know is that the sound from it was so loud, that even if I took it out and kept it beside me, the volume was sufficient for hearing. And at those loud volumes when listening directly there was no cracking of any sorts in any song I heard. I'm sure it was NOT a 7.1 headset and was most likely Stereo.

In the Sony headsets if I was listening to songs on 100% volume, any person shouting around wasn't audible, but with these H110 I can pretty much hear honking horns upto the streets.

I do have a 5.1 Surround home theatre, but the bass is so much that things in my room start shaking, and since I live in a joint family I wouldn't want to look like a jerk. smile.gif

Budget is upto 100$.

P.s. Also will the 1300 be loud enough? I can't tell from the specs section.

edit- Some Steel Series products are available as well.

Also, we typically don't recommend gaming headsets unless you absolutely MUST have a mic.

sony mdrzx700s. theyre 120$ but youll never buy another set of headphones ever again.

http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDRZX700-Outdoor-Headphones/dp/B004P150LY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1339856143&sr=8-1&keywords=sony+mdrzx700s

They are on sale for $83 on amazon. Better step on that deal fast!

http://www.amazon.com/3-5-Computer-Clip-Mini-Microphone/dp/B001N0W2B6/ref=pd_cp_pc_2

Just get one of these to clip on to your headphone cable if you need a mic. I personally have the headphones and this mic and they are both amazing.

Those ^ are great headphones, but they lack a little on the bass but if you game they have great sound stage.

and if you must have a mic on them get this it works great and great quality. http://www.modmic.com/

Microsoft lifechat lx-3000 if you use w7 and are uptodate.they are the best for 60 $.make sure to use lifechat software because this is the thing that make these awesome .if you can use better quality Usb headphone with lifechat software you probably will get even better result.Max volume will be 90% .so I would lower volume on your actual one

Also I can vouch for the lifechat technology.since this week update a bug was fixed cause they sound richer.if Ms did a lx-3000-w(wireless I would buy that.
For the price Ms ask not sure there are better quality of sound.sadly I ain't a pro in sound quality etc. Buthopefully someone soon will do a benchmart test to compare lx3000 so we can have an idea of what price you would need to pay to get as good quality at 85% volume.

Well I don't need a mic, just the brands I mentioned are available readily without breaking a sweat.

I can vouch my face off for it

I use my Sony MDR-ZX700's for the following:
-Gaming
-Music Production
-Guitar Tone Engineering
-Exercise
-Driving
-Music Studies and Listening
-Really Long Walks

I wear these for at least 10 hours every single day. The sound quality is immaculate. The comfort is amazing. Outside sound isolation is awesome.
You will never get tired of these, I guarantee it.

That calms me. Currently I've got a Samsung C3010S mobile phone, and the sound quality of songs on that is much better than my H110.

Note that I try to find all my music in 320kbps. The Sony MDRZX700s quality are so good, that you can easily tell the difference between 192kbps and 320kbps.
Don't think, just buy them.
