Fix nemory problems?

Hi
My hard drive is good, no bad sectors.
I think memory is the problem it is making hard drive errors, and BSOD,
All BIOS settings for memory are stock I have never fiddled with them.
There is no overclock of anything now.

I was wondering If fiddling with memory latency settings would fix the problem, I dont know anything about that.

Do you happen to remember the hex code on the bluescreens? That can help a lot in pointing out issues with memory corruption, 0x0A and 0x1A for example.

Since you say there is no OC on anything at the moment it definitely isn't that, so. A little more information about the exact errors would help.

I'd recommend checking the BIOS to make sure the memory timings are set to their proper defaults (if your board happens to set things wrong like mine). Other than that, have you tried running Memtest 86+? You can find easy to use bootable CDs for it.

Hi
Errors in BOSD were so widely varied and never the same twice that they wernt any help.
BIOS timing is 9 9 9 24 exactly to stock spec.

Programs wernt working rite, movies were herky jerky and no sound on one boot and not the next.
Freezes, lock ups, BSOD, you name it.
Everything started going down hill, even the case fan was getting no power one boot and not the next, the 3 other fans were ok.

Ya I got boot for Memtest 86+ but I havent messed with it for 2 days like youre spozta yet.

I did do test by running only one stik at a time in different slots, didnt work proper on either stik, nothing changed.

I did clean install of XP 32bit it was good for a day or 2 before it went haywire again.
