2009 Macbook Pro HOT

Just started folding on my MacBook Pro i7 2009, like 5 minutes ago, and downloaded a program to monitor temps. http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/12381/temperature-monitor

The temps are reading up to 103C is this too hot for this laptop? I know it's too hot for my desktop. I'm not a mac expert so I don't know but some insight would be nice,

and maybe another (more reliable) temp software to confirm...any recommendations?

I have noticed over time that all macbook pros get really hot. I have the 13 inch 2010 macbook pro and I hate that it gets hot after watching videos and playing games and browsing the internet even.
So yeah those temps are normal, but sadly shouldn't be that way...

If it is actually 103C, that's too hot. 95-100C is within the realm of reason for running an i7 at 100% continuously. If your ambient temps increase by 2C, you'll get a thermal shutdown. My suggestion would be, use ThrottleStop to limit the max turbo to 100-200mhz below the official max. http://www.techinferno.com/downloads/

No need to fear, window fan is here

This brought my computer back into the "safe zone" at about 90-95C

Not recommended if your trying to sleep though lol
