I used the lastest non-beta drivers from nVidia. My two sli'd cards overclocked got nearly 9,000 in 3dmarks05. About 4,300 in 3dmark06.

Considering a 7600GT is 140 each, I would definitely go for both of them and run them in SLI.

As stated before, the benchmarks are insane, they love to be overclocked, and in SLI games/apps it will kill the high-end video cards that are out right now. If I could get 2 7600GT's in SLI I would do that instead of getting any other video card right now.

I think he is talking about real-in-game preformance, as benchmarks can sometimes be misleading. Due to HL2 and the source engine in general really being optimized for ATI cards and drivers, there will not be that much of a difference. However, in openGL games, the SLI will make a HUGE difference.
