hard to explain knoppix help

I have my phone, and a memory card in it. i have a program that turns it into a flash drive so no phone drivers need to be installed. im using my linux computer and when i try to open the drive it wont let me... it says

Interesting, my phone has a 1gb micro sd that i can take out and use a usb adapter to transfer files, when i had my samsung a900 i could never get linux to reconize it

As said FAT is a supported file type for Linux. When i plug my phone in it straight away acts as a flas card so to speak
