Asus 570 gtx II noise help

Thread Starter
Ok so i have the asus 570 gtx the huge 3 slot one. I has it in my old build along with the same power supply. I upgraded to to the i5 3570k, asus maximus gene board, and 8 gigs ram. I have never heard it make the weird fan noise before the upgrade ever. Them after the upgrade when under load the fan noise starts. I does it with bf3 and css go but not diablo 3. I really need help getting to the root of this. I dont understand what happened during the upgrade. I don see the card lagging anywhere and i didnt have temp monitor after a fresh install.

I have the same card and have never heard it make such a noise. I have heard of OCd cards making a squealing sound when pushed hard some of the electrical components can squeal. Have you tried putting a load on the card like Furmark or the Heaven bench, and see if it makes noise there? You can also use the Asus Smartdoctor or other software to run your GPUs fans up to max speed and and see if there is a speed that makes noise. I would also try reseating the card and make sure it is not drooping and coming into contact with another part or your case. These are heavy cards and some folks have issues with them sagging from the weight. You can prop them up with anything handy preferably not metallic. Hope this helps...biggrin.gif
